Gruber comments about how confusing it is to install something from a package.  I totally agree.

Me and my friend Andy explain installing something from a package by comparing it to shoebox.  First you download the shoebox, you take your shoes (apps, icons, etc) out of it, then you throw the box away.

Personally, I feel installers are like letting someone into my house… to install something.  ”Hey, not that wall! The one in the bathroom!”

I’ve never fully trusted ‘em.
